Dr. COCERO Pays Courtesy Visit to Director TAKASHIMA

Dr. Maria Jose COCERO (the University of Valladolid), an IROAST Visiting Professor, is visiting Kumamoto University as part of the IROAST Visiting Professor Invitation Program, and together with Prof. Armando T. QUITAIN, visited Director Takashima. We have a university-level exchange agreement with the University of Valladolid to deepen student and research exchanges. She has been collaborating with Kumamoto University since the 1990s. This long and fruitful relationship has recently been strengthened through active collaboration with Prof. Tetsuya KIDA and Prof. QUITAIN, that includes hosting students under JASSO or TOBITATE Ryugaku JAPAN programs, Marie-Curie Post-doctoral fellow and faculty members from our University to her laboratory, conducting joint research at the IROAST Research Cluster, and online seminars during the COVID pandemic. She will be giving a lecture at the 104th IROAST Seminar on October 27.
