We had a follow-up meeting with
Prof. Martin Dienwiebel (Karlsruhe Institute for Technology, Germany), an IROAST visiting professor and one of the Advisory Board members.
The meeting with Prof. Dienwiebel was attended by Director Takashima, Vice Director Toda, and Dr. Kwak, who had been working in Prof. Dienwiebel's lab under the IROAST International Joint Research Travel Support Program until last week.
First, Director Takashima summarized the recommendations of the Advisory Board Committee, held in the last fiscal year, and briefly explained the plans and achievements of this year’s activities in response to those recommendations. We then exchanged views on research, education, and international exchange at both universities.
We agreed to strengthen cooperation through mutual exchange of researchers, application for external funding for international joint research, and online seminars for doctoral students and young researchers.
