Welcome Dr. ZHENG's first visit to Kumamoto University since the COVID-19 pandemic

Professor Yufeng ZHENG, IROAST Distinguished Professor, visited Kumamoto University from China from March 21 to 22.
This is his first visit in 4 years and 3 months since he was unable to travel to Japan due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the first day, he met with Prof. Kazuki TAKASHIMA, his collaborator and the Director of the IROAST, and received a briefing on the latest information on IROAST. In the afternoon, he visited the laboratory of Dr. Ruda LEE (IROAST International Joint Research Faculty Member) to see her some research equipments and they discuss the possibility on the mutual joint research.
On the second day, he had a meeting with Prof. Yoji MINE who is his host faculty, Dr. TAKASHIMA, and Assistant Professor Kwangsik KWAK at Mine's Lab, in Mine's laboratory to discuss plans for joint research.
