JST Sakura Science Plan participants visits IROAST

On July 11, 2019, fifteen graduate students from leading universities in Southeast Asia, the Republic of Korea and Latin America, visiting Kumamoto University through the JST Sakura Science Plan, visited IROAST. Accompanied by Professor Armando T. Quitain from the College of Cross-cultural and Multidisciplinary Studies, the students were warmly welcomed by IROAST Director Hiyama, who introduced the organization. Then they visited the Lee and Higaki Labs, where Associate Professor Ruda Lee and Dr. Akiko Nakamasu from the Higaki Lab briefed them on their research and lab facilities.
