IROAST Distinguished Professor Kontis and Visiting Professor Menezes pay a courtesy visit to University Trustee Dr Matsumoto

On December 19, 2018, IROAST Distinguished Professor Konstantinos Kontis and Visiting Professor Viren Menezes paid a courtesy visit to Dr Yasumichi Matsumoto, the university trustee in charge of research. Dr Matsumoto is also the director of the Institute of Pulsed Power Science (IPPS) to which Prof. Hamid Hosano, the host professor of the two professors, belong. Prof. Kontis’s home institute, the School of Engineering of the University of Glasgow has an academic agreement with IPPS, and Prof. Menezes’s Indian Institute of Technology Bombay has a university-level academic agreement with Kumamoto University. In meeting with Dr Matsumoto, Prof. Kontis and Prof. Menezes exchanged opinions on expanding the current academic exchanges between their institutes and Kumamoto University.
