IROAST Distinguished Professor Yufeng Zheng from Peking University has been elected to be the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) College of Fellows. As introduced in the institute's announcement, the election is "among the highest professional distinctions accorded to a medical and biological engineer. The College of Fellows is comprised of the top two percent of medical and biological engineers. … Dr. Zheng was nominated, reviewed, and elected by peers and members of the College of Fellows for "Leading contributions in developing new metallic biomaterials for applications in orthopedics dentistry and interventional therapy."" Professor Zheng attended the induction ceremony at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC on March 25, 2019.
