Dr. Elaine G. Mission, a Graduate School of Science and Technology graduate, has been awarded a two-year Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship (MSCA-IF 2019) for her proposal on "Cascade Hydrolytic Recovery and Conversion of Suberin in High Pressure Media." She will be joining the Instituto Bioeconomia at the University of Valladolid and will be hosted by IROAST Visiting Professor Maria Jose Cocero.
MSCA-IF 2019 is created by the European Union/European Commission and is among Europe's most competitive and prestigious awards. For this year, 9875 proposals were evaluated and only 2500 proposals and fellows will be funded. Dr. Mission obtained her Ph.D. in Advanced Technology in 2018 and was supervised by Prof. Tetsuya Kida and Prof. Armando T. Quitain, former IROAST Young Faculty Member for International Joint Research. IROAST wishes Dr. Mission all the best in her future career.
