IROAST Visiting Professor Tomonari Furukawa from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, U.S., gave a talk at the 40th IROAST Seminar on November 8, 2018. The seminar was organized by Associate Professor Makoto Kumon, who introduced Professor Furukawa at the beginning of the seminar. After introducing his home university, Professor Furukawa talked about his research into autonomous robots. About 40 students, faculty members and people from industry professionals attended the seminar and listened attentively to his talk.
