Internship student from SKKU in Korea has arrived!

Ms. Yoonjoo NAM, an IROAST internship student from Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) in Korea, has arrived in Kumamoto today and She and Associate Professor Ruda LEE (IROAST International Joint Research Faculty Member/IINa*) who is her host faculty paid courtesy visit to Director TAKASHIMA of IROAST. She will stay for the next 2 weeks and will receive face-to-face instruction by by Dr. Ruda LEE.

Dr. LEE and IROAST Visiting Professor Hoon KIM (Sungkyunkwan University, also) are currently collaborating together and he is also a supervisor of Ms. Yoonjoo NAM. During the first week, Ms. NAM will conduct physical and chemical experiments using specific equipment and chemicals, followed by a simulated computer simulation during the following week to organize data for a collaborative research paper.
In addition, her supervisor at SKKU, IROAST Visiting Professor KIM, will visit Kumamoto University (7/24-7/26) to discuss whole genome sequencing (WGS) data together.
