IROAST Hybrid Research Internship Program organized by Dr. Yuta NAKASHIMA begins

A “IROAST Hybrid Research Internship Program” organized by Associate Professor Yuta NAKASHIMA (IROAST International Joint Research Facluty Member/FAST*) started from December 10, and Ms. Rohmah HIDAYAH, a master student at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in Indonesia participants in this program.

As first, the 10-day online program was held until Dec. 20, and Ms. Hidayah received guidance about the details of the program and they had a detailed discussion about what she will do during her face-to-face internship, which starts next month .
In the program, she plans to work on fabrication/design/analysis of microfluidic devices, experiment for cancer cell detection from whole blood, and so on.

The practical internship in-person is scheduled to begin in January 6th and last for 8 weeks until February 28, 2025.
We hope this internship will be a good opportunity for her to enter the doctoral course in Kumamoto University.
