Dr. Ick Chan Kwon from Korea Institute of Science and Technology, an IROAST visiting professor, gave a talk at the Kumamoto Symposium on Therapeutic/Diagnosis Techniques and Medical Devices, the 7th IROAST Seminar, held on March 15 in the Miyamoto Memorial Hall, School of Pharmacy. The title of his presentation was "Theragnosis as a New Paradigm of Personalized Medicine." The Symposium was an event sponsored by IROAST and co-organized by GSST Research Core and Group for Research B and Magnesium Research Center. Dr. Takashi Hiyama, director of IROAST, made an opening address at the Symposium, and Dr. Aeju Lee, IROAST associate professor, also made a presentation entitled "Protease Activatable Imaging Sensor and Theranostic Polymeric Nanoparticles."

Dr. Kwon also visited Dr. Hiyama in his office after the symposium, and had a pleasant meeting together with his hosts, Professor Niidome and Lee.
